About Us

Welcome to Kamiah Seventh-day Adventist Church!

We are a community of like-minded believers who love Christ and strive to exalt His love before all those we come into contact with. At our church, we prioritize relationships and mutual support. We plan events that will strengthen our bonds as brothers and sisters in Christ. We love children and are blessed to have teachers who are dedicated to teaching young people about Jesus in a way that is deep, meaningful, and yet easy to understand. We accept the Bible as our only authority holding our fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. You are invited to come witness our vibrant congregation every Saturday for yourselves. Please join us and bring a friend along if you can!

Pastor

Steve Rogers

Pastor Steve Rogers was born and raised in Kelso, Washington. He attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church along with his parents, one sister and five brothers. At the age of 15, his sister died from cancer and he realized he’d never see her again in this world. He knew she possessed something in her relationship with Jesus that he didn’t have. He took his Bible and began to read it and study it like he’d never done before.

In its pages he found hope of eternity with Jesus. Peace and joy filled his heart and he realized he would one day be reunited with his sister.

A desire to share this Good News with others began to grow and he became a Bible Worker for the Kelso-Longview Seventh Day Adventist Church. He continued with this ministry, working with Pastor Dave Livermore for about nineteen years and was blessed with more than 140 baptisms.

In 2008, Steve was asked to come to the Upper Columbia Conference and develop a network of Bible Instructor Coordinators for each district. They affirmed his calling in the ministry and he was ordained in the summer of 2012.

Things began to change with the finances of the conference and Steve was asked to accept the

  1. 4-church district of Orofino, Weippe, Kamiah and Grangeville. He became their pastor in the summer of 2014.

Pastor Steve enjoys sharing God’s love and hope with others. He also enjoys camping, visiting and having fun (playing games, music and hiking) with his wife Becki and their two daughters and their husbands. He relishes any time he gets with his brothers and their families.

His favorite scripture is Luke12:32… “Fear not little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
